We’re looking for a creative and technically skilled Smart Home Designer to join our team full-time. If you have a strong background in AV integration and home automation, and a passion for designing cutting-edge systems, this opportunity is for you.
You’ll work alongside our sales and project teams to bring smart living environments to life in high-end residential and commercial spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and integration of home automation systems for residential projects (lighting, security cameras, blinds, HVAC, audio/video, alarms).
- Electrical and mechanical design using tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and SketchUp.
- Installation and configuration of sensors, actuators, controllers (PLC, Arduino, ESP32).
- Basic programming of microcontrollers or embedded systems.
- Selection of materials, devices, and suppliers for residential automation projects.
- Testing, commissioning, and fine-tuning of the installed systems.
- Preparation of technical documentation (blueprints, user manuals, bill of materials).
- Liaising with clients and suppliers to ensure successful project execution.
- Knowledge of common home automation protocols (Z-Wave, ZigBee, WiFi, KNX, etc.).
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in AV and smart home system design
- Proficiency in Crestron and Savant systems (required)
- Strong skills in AutoCAD (required)
- Familiarity with Lutron, Araknis, and D-Tools (nice to have)
- Experience with lighting control, motorized window coverings, surveillance, and networking
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related experience (preferred)
- Excellent English skills – written and verbal
