Spanish Teacher (Remote)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Spanish Teacher to join our virtual teaching team in a full-time role. In this position, you will teach students from grade 5 through high school level 4 in an engaging, online learning environment, delivering both live and asynchronous instruction.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver live, interactive Spanish lessons via Zoom and create engaging, culturally responsive lesson plans.
• Provide timely feedback, assess student progress, and support individual learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with administrators and parents to promote student success.
• Teach approximately six class sections per day, each with 15–20 students.
• Participate in mandatory training and ongoing professional development.
• Substitute live classes as needed and collaborate on special projects.
• Maintain a respectful, inclusive, and supportive virtual classroom environment.
• Act as a subject matter expert and contribute to instructional best practices within the Spanish department.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of four years of experience teaching Spanish, preferably across upper elementary and high school levels.
• Experience teaching Spanish to native English-speaking students is required.
• At least one year of experience teaching in an online environment.
• Proficiency in using educational technology, including: Zoom, Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1 level or native).
• Strong classroom management, organization, and adaptability in virtual settings.
• Experience teaching additional languages is a plus, but not required.

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, remote position.
• Approximately six 45-minute live classes per day.
• Availability within EST hours (7 AM to 5 PM) is preferred.

Additional Notes:

• Candidates will be asked to deliver a 10-minute demo lesson as part of the interview process.
• Immediate availability is preferred.
