Job Summary:
Join our team as a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, where you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to patients regarding medical billing inquiries, insurance coverage, and payment arrangements. This position requires fluency in both English and Spanish, and involves utilizing various internal systems to assist patients with their billing needs.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing billing inquiries and explaining insurance benefits.
- Document and resolve issues promptly and accurately.
- Collaborate with internal departments to investigate insurance denials and missing payments.
- Undertake special projects and other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience in a high-volume environment, preferably within a healthcare call center.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOB) and various insurance plans.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Strong mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, decimals).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex documents and regulations.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
