Are you an experienced and detail-driven accountant looking to take ownership of financial operations across multiple entities? We’re looking for a Senior Accountant to manage the books for a lending company, an SEC-registered RIA, an insurance company, and a private fund. This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of GAAP, investment accounting, and experience in managing complex financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Ensure compliance with SEC and insurance regulations
- Oversee private fund reporting, including investor statements and capital transactions
General Ledger & Month-End Close
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany transactions
Lending & Investment Accounting
Manage loan accounting, including interest recognition and amortization
Ensure accurate revenue recognition across entities
⚙ Process Improvement & Internal Controls
- Identify and implement process efficiencies
- Maintain and enforce internal controls
Tax & Audit Support
- Support in federal tax filings and 1099 preparation
- Assist in audits and due diligence processes with accurate documentation
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in finance, lending, investment, or insurance
- Experience with partnership accounting and private funds is a plus
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel
- QuickBooks is a must!
- Knowledge of GAAP, NAV calculations, and investment/lending accounting
- Comfortable managing multiple sets of books
Soft Skills
- Extremely detail-oriented and organized
- Strong written communication (English fluency required)
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
